SOLUTIONS:
To provide room for the new shower it was agreed to bump into and
reconfigure the adjacent hall bath. We then positioned the toilet
to take advantage of the existing plumbing and placed tall cabinets
on each side to provide ample storage. Glass shelves above provide
display for the husband's collections of shells and porcelain
figurines. A pocket door kept the entryway as open as possible.
A knee-wall was built behind the
vanity to create a ledge on which we installed 3 medicine cabinets
which open toward the center to become a three-way mirror. Sconces
positioned on each side of the medicine cabinets plus ceiling cans
provide optimum lighting.
Cabinets are full-access with a simple
bevel-edged door style in a soft off-white finish. The tile is a
limestone-look porcelain strikingly accented with glass mosaics.
Fixtures are Biscuit and Brushed Nickel.
